Dear Weather in Denver;
What the hell were you thinking, listening to a little kid!?

Last night.

This morning.
Jack and I spent yesterday in the hotel playing gin and I'll admit rather gleefully watching cars slide around on the hotel driveway; Jackson stayed at his cousins' house playing Xbox Lego Star Wars II, and when I talked to him on the phone this morning he was still playing video games. For a kid who expressed so much interest in snowball-throwing and snow angel-making he's spending a lot of time indoors chewing gum.
Jack and I can't drive to my brother's house; we can't drive to my parents' house; we can't get through to the airline; we have no idea when we'll get home. This may end up being the best Christmas ever.

That'll teach Jackson what to wish for! He gets to play unlimited video games with his cousins without mom or dad to tell him enough. Woot.
I was about to ask you that question! How did you do it!??!
Well, at least stay safe and warm. You DO realize that it's all your fault it's so bad there, right? You brought the storm with you ... I'm sure all your family will tell you that! LOL
Glad you're aren't stuck out at DIA!
i just knew he got his wish last night - npr confirmed it this morning. all flights are cancelled so good luck with the airlines. have a good christmas mrs. kennedy!
Being trapped indefinitely in a hotel room ALONE with my husband would be ten kinds of awesome. TV, Internet and hotel porn could sustain us for weeks.
LUCKY YOU!
Jesus, I can't think of a better situation to be in. Kid is at cousin's house safe and warm and having fun. You and spouse are in a hotel room without the ability to leave. You have excellent karma, Eden Marriot Kennedy.
What, so we're not going out for a drink?!
Posted my own snowy pics this morning. This shit's insane.
I'm happy for Jackson's snowy Christmas, but hope that airport opens soon. My sis lives in Boulder and was supposed to fly here to Orlando today. I need her for Christmas Jackson! Please wish for it. :)
Totally awesome.
"playing gin" -- is that what they're calling it these days?
Lucky you! Enjoy!
I wish I was getting stuck somewhere where there's alcohol, my spouse, my kid snugly tucked away with relatives, and snow.
Of course, none of my relatives could survive two days with my kid alone.
Wow. Can Jackson wish it to be really hot and sunny on the 1st of January for me? Have a great vacation!
have a very merry stranded Christmas!!
(JennQR)
i am so painfully jealous.
Now if only he can get his aunt to fry up some bacon...
Happy Hotelidays!
I thought of you when I saw the news this morning and how Denver was being clobbered. Hey everyone is safe, happy and you've got a winter wonderland - sounds good to me.
oh wow. i'm really sorry about all the stranded people, etc., but being stuck ALONE WITH YOUR HUSBAND and a minibar in a hotel room ... who was the smart cookie who shipped jackson off to the cousin's?!
have a great time. playing *eh-hem* gin.
Sounds wonderful!!
Enjoy!!
White Christmas alone with husband? My jealousy is rampant;>
It's a Christmas miracle.
Gin...that's what they're calling it nowadays! Mm-hmmm!
I hope your travels home go well.
One of my dearest friends works at DIA. He's asked that you be kind.

Happy Christmas Eden! Are you still snowed in *cough* playing gin? Whatever, wherever you are, I hope you and yours are having a brilliant day. Throw a snowball for me.
Merry Christmas :)
Almost got stuck in London this year on our way to my in-laws. We were one of the last flights out! I almost think It might have been better as my 4-year-old DS and I would have tramped around London rather than my hearing him ask, "Mommy, can I fry my brain some more?" several times a day. Sigh - he's watched a year's worth of movies this week. Oh well..Christmas does only come once a year, right?
Sounds wonderful! A friend of mine decided to jump in on the Blog 4 a month promotion in November. Can we do another one for January? I'd love to try this exercise to keep me blogging more regularly.
Thanks,
Tara
Come up for air, would ya?
Man, I love me a hotel room.
You lucky dog, you!
If you're back, and brought that wind with you, I'm all, "oooh. OOOOOOH!"
