When life hands you lemons, go online and look at LOLCATS.
I'm now off for an unexpected three weeks in Denver, as my dad died (unexpectedly) early this morning. There's a lot to be done, including convincing my mother of the fact of the departure of her husband of almost 55 years.
And I certainly mean no disrespect when I say that I still can't believe my father spent his final years using dial-up.
This is all to cover up the fact that I'm shattered, that I'll never hear his voice again, that I can't call today and apologize for not calling on Mother's Day because my Mom's pretty much deaf anyway so I just sent a card and figured I'd catch up with him today and it's too fucking late.
