It was raining a couple of weeks ago and after I’d been to the dentist, me and my numb face walked over to Knit & Pearl, a new yarn shop on Figueroa, so I could load up with the proper materials for the pirate hat I’m going to start for Jack. The owner was quite helpful, despite the fact that I was drooling all over her alpaca.

Let's Panic About Babies! is a book I wrote with the delightful Alice Bradley. You will like it if you are currently pregnant, if you have children, or if you have absolutely no intention of having children. Not just because it's funny, but because you can burn it to stay warm.
Clicking on the cover will take you to the publisher's web site, clicking here will take you to Amazon.com, or, you can go to Let's Panic! the web site, preview some of the material in the book, and read a whole lot of bonus stuff we post for free when we feel like it, which isn't often anymore. It's a full-time job managing the enormous wealth that comes from writing a fake parenting book.

That’s an awesome hat! I bought a kid-sized one that Mac from Pesky’Apostrophe made (I am a non-knitter…so far) and my nephew looks way cool in it.
Soggy Alpaca. That’ll sell well.
wink.

Have fun knitting the pirate hat! I made it for my brother-in-law for Christmas, and it was very well received. As I was kept knitting, I couldn’t help stopping every few rows to think, “Hey! Skull and crossbones!” I’m easily amused.
