I was walking Cookie around the neighborhood one morning when I noticed this dragonfly struggling on its back. When I got back home I told Jackson about it, and soon there were three or four kids squatting down around it, waiting to see what happened next. What happened was that Jackson found a stick, flipped the dragonfly over, and then everyone stuck around for awhile until it was well enough to fly away.

Yay Jackson! My HERO!!
Jackson rocks.
i’ve always loved dragonflies. something about them…not sure what it is…but it makes me happy!
Go Jackson. Thankfully the little bastards didn’t pull the dragonfly’s wings off “to see what happens”. Nature rules.
I feel like a schmuck when I find out that little boys have more guts than I do.
When I was little, my sisters and I were afraid of dragonflies, which buzzed in the field we had to cross to get to the pool at our apartment complex. So, my very brilliant mother made up a little song and we would sing to them as we walked: “Hello, Mr. Dragonfly. How are you today?” You can’t be scared and sing at the same time. Worked like a charm.
Jackson rocks.
