There may be scary previews when we go see New Moon...we'll make sure to get Jackson hopped up on candy and popcorn though and that'll get him through safely right?

Sounds like a plan unless he OD's on said goodies and decides to "up-chuck" all over the floor again...now that's what I call a SCARY movie!

Shaun of the Dead, my thoughts exactly, Aims...

But when I was Jackson's age it was different, since my much older bookish sis took me not to see a happy culinary movie, but to the Egyptian Museum, where they had a MUMMY that was UNWRAPPED and was a 10 YEAR OLD BOY!! Needless to say I was all nightmares for weeks...

But don't worry, by 13 he'll be different. Just don't let him see Harold and Maude.

My children and the ones who asked to go see Julie and Julia, too. Hubs thought it was too chick flicky for him. The kids loved it--previews and all.

And, I can now poach an egg like nobody's business. Who knew it was so damn easy? I've been living on them, which may or may not lead to my early demise.

Has he been inspired to do any cooking?

Maybe Julie and Julia was safe from the scary, but Bossy is relieved Jackson has never watched Bossy cook. A zombie, for sure.

I had to cover my eyes for the previews before seeing "The Hangover."
They scare people much better than they did when I was watching Nightmare on Elmstreet and Texas Chainsaw Massacre II in middle school.

I don't blame Jackson one bit.

Also, I want to see J & J, but haven't had the chance yet. My parents went (72 & 73). Their verdict: "It was a cute movie, but there were a lot of old people in there."

I saw Julie and Julia for the second time and the psycho step-dad trailer was shown. I thought well, Jackson was right!

I don't recall what film we went to see, but a 3D movie for children had a trailer for "The Nightmare Before Christmas" when it was re-issued in 3D. The very first bit is the character Jack, popping out and yelling "blaaaaahhh!". Well, my son threw the 3D glasses to the ground, yelled "no, thank you! No, thank you" and wouldn't put the glasses back on for the entire film. I'm surprised he didn't go blind. He's ten now, and hates scary trailers, too.
