I can only post quickly, it’s been a long day and now it’s time for the sleeps, but I’d just like to say that when you take someone who doesn’t eat wheat to In-n-Out it’s important to remember that Animal Style means extra sauce, pickles, and grilled onions, and Protein Style means No Bun, because if you get them backwards she’ll be eating her burger with a fork and saying, “No, no, it’s fine!” because she’s a nice person, and you’ll be the idiot who can’t speak the local be-bop even though you’ve lived here for 21 years.

  • But you can still drop the term “be-bop” in conversation, legitimately, and that has to count for something…

  • This information may come in handy someday. I drove past many in and out burgers in California recently and thought about the hassle of trying to get something since I don’t eat wheat and then giving up.

I remember when I was in college and a vegetarian I used to order a bun, cheese, the sauce, and the fixin’s and it honestly tasted so much like there was a burger in it. Now the burger without the bun–it will only remind me of my fall.
